She wrote about the seasons of life
Winter, spring, summer and fall
Her love songs to the plains were seen
Through the birth and death of all

Oh, she looked at a drop of water
Saw the way it worked on the sand
She brought that drop of water
To the oceans and all the lands
Man affects nature
Nature affects man
Everything goes in a circle
According to a greater plan

To sustain the people’s life
The red man ate the buffalo
When the red man died, his bones fed the earth
And helped the grass to grow

Chorus

A fruit tree starts from a seed
And grows to bloom in the spring
The fruit it bears produces more seed
And the cycle starts again

Chorus
