Translation from Kevin Locke’s Lakota Introduction to the Midnight Strong Heart song:
Listen, my relatives, at this time again I will play the flute. The song I will now render is very old, reputed to have been composed by Sitting Bull. Long ago the Lakota people had organizations of service comprised of the bravest and most altruistic. One of these organizations was reformed by Sitting Bull-- The Midnight Strong Hearts. Now here is one of their songs.
